The test
22 numbers. One sample. One clear report.
What a sports physician would check on day one, without the appointment. Take the sample at home on a rest-day morning, post it back, and get a medically released report written for people who train.
- Upper-arm collector: a few minutes, no needle in a vein
- Results 3–5 working days after the lab receives your sample
- Kit delivered to your door, prepaid envelope back to the lab
Every marker
What’s on the panel, and why.
Optimal ranges are the ones linked to the lowest long-term risk, not the ‘normal’ range a lab prints, which is just the middle 95% of people who got tested. Markers tagged Performance are in every panel.
Ferritin
PerformanceYour iron stores. Endurance athletes run low far more often than they think, and low ferritin caps your VO₂ long before it shows in a blood count.
Vitamin D (25-OH)
PerformanceBone, muscle and immune function. Most people north of the Alps are low from October to April.
Vitamin B12
PerformanceRed blood cells and nerves. Low in plant-based diets and after 50.
Magnesium
Muscle contraction, sleep and heart rhythm. Lost in sweat.
CK
PerformanceCreatine kinase leaks from muscle after hard work. Persistently high at rest means you’re not recovering between sessions.
hs-CRP
PerformanceLow-grade inflammation. Overtraining, poor sleep and visceral fat all push it up, and it quietly accelerates ageing.
ApoB
The number of artery-clogging particles. The best single predictor of heart disease, and fit people are not immune.
Lipoprotein(a)
Genetic. Test it once in your life. High Lp(a) changes how hard you should manage everything else.
LDL cholesterol
PerformanceThe classic ‘bad’ cholesterol. Useful alongside ApoB.
HDL cholesterol
PerformanceMoves cholesterol away from arteries. Training raises it.
Triglycerides
PerformanceFat in the blood. Rises with sugar, alcohol and too little movement.
HbA1c
PerformanceAverage blood sugar over three months. How well your body handles fuel.
Uric acid
Linked to gout, blood pressure and metabolic health. High-protein diets can push it up.
TSH
PerformanceThe master thyroid signal. Sets your metabolic rate, energy and recovery.
Free T3 · Free T4
The active thyroid hormones. Heavy training on too little food pulls T3 down first.
Testosterone · SHBG
Strength, muscle, drive and recovery, in men and women. SHBG shows how much is actually available.
ALT · GGT
PerformanceLiver enzymes. Creep up with fatty liver, alcohol and some supplements.
Creatinine · cystatin C
Kidney filtration. Creatinine reads high in muscular people, so cystatin C gives the honest number.
